Lashaleah Nicely


Qualified and Registered Social Work Practitioner with over 13 years’ experience supporting the needs of vulnerable children and their families. She is committed to safeguarding and protecting the rights of children so that they are given the opportunity to develop and grow in secure environments that help them to thrive.


Lashaleah adopts a Child Centred approach to her practice and has gained a significant amount of experience practicing in Child Protection teams as well as Fostering and Looked after Children Service's. She is a recognised BASW Independent Social Worker who assesses the capacity of prospective foster carers, this also includes undertaking the independent reviews of approved foster carers and determining their suitability for re-approval.


Lashaleah is passionate and driven when it comes to helping to improve the lives of vulnerable children and young people and as such facilitates independent training to prospective and approved foster carers with the purpose of educating and upskilling these professionals to be the best possible carers that our children and young people need and deserve.


Lashaleah is the founder and Director of London's Assisted Semi-independent Housing Alliance (L.A.S.H.A), a bespoke therapeutic semi-independent provision supporting the needs and lives of young people leaving care. 


'Our main goal and objectives are to support our young people in reaching their potential in order that they can live successful and fulfilling lives and by doing so we work in partnership with Local Authority Children Services to provide tailored and bespoke support to assist our young people with the skills they need to become self-sufficient and motivated members of society.'


London’s Assisted Semi-independent Housing Alliance’s main areas of expertise and specialism is supported by the skill base and knowledge of the "Team around the child/young person" which consists of qualified and registered social workers, nurses, counsellors, teachers and aspiring probation officers and psychologists.


Lashaleah undertakes the provisions:

  • Monthly/Quarterly quality assurance audits.

  • Initial assessments of young people placed or potential placements.

  • Return home interviews of young people reported missing.

  • Assists with Age Assessments of any Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children (UASC) placed within the provision.

  • In-house staff training including Contextual Safeguarding, Role of the Keyworker and The Secure Base Model of Therapeutic care-giving.
