Tutoring Support

Face to Face & Virtual

London's Assisted Semi-independent Housing Alliance understands the power of education and recognises that it is important for all of our young people to have an equal opportunity in how this is received.

We work with Local Authorities, schools and colleges to make this happen to steer our young people away from being labelled as 'NEET'.

We empower our young people with all of the options available to them so that they are able to make an informed decision about their lives and its directions.

We believe that all ' Looked After Children' should be entitled to additional educational support as we recognise from our own experiences supporting young people as well as from government statistics that educational attainment for looked after children is much lower than non-looked after children across all subjects.

Our goal is to support our young people with closing the education attainment gap through tuition, ensuring that they get the additional support that will allow them to aspire to be the best they can and further their lives and careers.

Our tutors are qualified and experienced, secondary school teachers who also provide tutoring for the young people receiving a service from LASHA. All of our tutors are expected to attend our mandatory training and are fully vetted in line with our safer recruitment procedures.

This stands for all people at all points in life. As a tutor I aim to fill the gaps that are caused by needing more challenge, more support or missing time in school. I am a fully qualified teacher of Drama and English. I offer online, individual and group tutoring in English, Maths and Drama
